Scotgate Lake District Campsite

Come and enjoy our outstanding campsite on the threshold of the Lake District's most spectacular scenery. Superbly placed between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake, with dramatic views towards Skiddaw and the northern fells, it makes the perfect base for exploring Lakeland.

Scotgates main campsite is surrounded by magnificent fell walking country. Bringing in the nearby valleys Borrowdale and Newlands to provide some of the best mountain walks in the country.

Keswick's position close to the centre of the Lake District National Park gives you easy access to scores of attractions, historic houses, beautiful gardens and endless outdoor activities for all ages and abilities.

Locally you can take a cruise on Derwentwater, or row yourself around the beautiful islands on the lake. The Theatre by the Lake has received fabulous reviews and provides a wide and varied choice of productions as well as a gallery.

Fun for all the family can be found amongst the waves at Keswick Spa Leisure Pool, an indoor pool with wave machine and exciting water slide.

The Lakes are often referred to as being a walkers paradise, and you couldn't have a better starting point than Scotgate campsite.
